Luis joined Lora Media in 2015 and brought to the company extensive experience in government relations, media and broadcasting.

His communications skills were sharpened while working as the liaison between the Embassy of Uruguay in Washington DC and the US Congress as well as an advisor to the Ambassador of Uruguay in Washington.

Later on, as an employee of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis traveled to several countries in the Western Hemisphere as an international observer for presidential, municipal, and legislative elections and as a member of the logistics team of the Demining Program in Central America. Subsequently, Batlle worked for the Department of Press and Communications of the OAS in their Multimedia Unit where he was in charge of the multimedia logistics for the OAS General Assemblies – Annual meeting where Foreign Ministers of the countries of the Western Hemisphere meet to discuss topics of the Inter-American agenda – from 2008 until 2013, as well as all TV interviews with the Secretary-General handling the production of the interviews and the communications with different media assets.
