Andrea Gomez | 4-Time Emmy-Nominated Journalist & Media Strategist
Andrea Gomez is a four-time Emmy-nominated journalist, media strategist, and public relations executive whose career bridges two decades inside the newsroom and a growing portfolio of national bilingual campaigns. She is best known for her 15-year tenure as lead anchor and reporter at Univision Houston, the network’s flagship affiliate in one of the largest Hispanic markets in the United States.
For three years, Andrea served as a national and international correspondent for CNN en Español, MundoFox, TV Azteca México, and RCN Colombia, covering breaking news, politics, business, and global affairs across the U.S. and Latin America. Her reporting earned four Emmy nominations and established her as one of the most trusted bilingual voices in broadcast journalism.
Today, Andrea serves as Vice President of Los Angeles Tribune Español, where she directs editorial strategy, media partnerships, and storytelling initiatives that expand the publication’s reach across U.S. and international Hispanic markets.
She is also the Founder and CEO of Andrea Gomez Communications LLC, a boutique strategic communications firm specializing in executive branding, media positioning, reputation management, thought leadership, and high-level PR campaigns. Her client portfolio includes a former Mayor of Pasadena, Texas; prominent political figures; top-tier law firms; healthcare and medical leaders; insurance and financial services companies; entrepreneurs; CEOs; and multinational brands seeking premium visibility and authority across English- and Spanish-language markets.
From the Houston anchor desk to the boardrooms and campaign offices of Texas and beyond, Andrea’s work shapes how leaders are seen, heard, and trusted.
Andrea currently serves on the Memorial Hermann Community Relations Committee and the Marketing & Communications Subcommittee (2026), contributing her expertise to one of the largest and most respected healthcare systems in Texas.
In 2025, she was a featured speaker at the International Communications Network (ICN) Upfront in Honduras, delivering strategic frameworks on media relations, personal branding, and authority positioning for executives and business leaders.
Her philosophy is shaped by what she learned at the anchor desk: visibility without strategy is noise. Andrea builds the signal.
