Willie Lora is the President and founder of Lora Media Consulting LLC. In its short time, Lora Media Consulting has worked with very important clients and events like, the US Presidential Elections, the historic visit of President Obama to Cuba as well as the Pope visit to the United States. Willie Lora was in charge of setting up and managing the International Press Center in Washington DC and Philadelphia during the Holly Father Pope Francis visit to the United States. Also Mr. Lora has worked with FSN “Feature Story News” an independent International News agency to develop their Latin American markets introducing new IP technology and news content.
He brings more than 25 years of experience in Broadcast Media and Communications in several national and international News Organizations for 18+ years as a news producer, Washington Bureau Chief and as the News and Political Director for the CNN en Español network. In these positions of successive increased responsibility, he has had the opportunity to travel the world, meet with world leaders, produce breaking news, and cover news events great and small that have been life changing for him and for so many others.
Willie was in Washington DC near the Pentagon on 9/11, in Haiti for the earthquakes and in New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina. He has covered congressional hearings, national and international political elections, the Middle East peace process, and international economic and political summits as well as natural disasters. Much of his success has been the result of developing important relationships both nationally and internationally, including breaking down barriers to foreign news media coverage in Cuba, and domestically, with Federal agencies, Congress and leaders within several Presidential Administrations to gain access and sources for meaningful news reporting.
Willie also worked with the network through the introduction of new technology, re-branding and the emergence of social media, launching the newest Digital Platform from the English Caribbean “Caribbean Digital Network”.
His good work has been recognized with many awards throughout the years, including two Peabody awards, the Alfred I. duPont Columbia University Award, and one of great personal meaning to him, being knighted by his country of birth, the Dominican Republic.
